Visa Fee structure wef July 1, 2008
Passport holders of following Countries would be eligible to receive “gratis” visas of all types:

Nationals of Nepal & Bhutan do not require visa to enter India. However, Nepali nationals require visa if they enter India from China, which is granted "gratis".
Pakistan nationals are charged only Rand 5/- for all types of visas.
Japanese nationals will be charged onlyl Rand =15/-for Transit visa and Rand 100/- for all other types of visa.
Russian nationals have to pay only Service charge of R 480/ and no visa fee is charged.
Romanian nationals have to pay only Service charge of R350/ and no visa fee is charged.
In respect of other nationalities, following fee would be applicable. Special visa fee applies to nationals of Sri Lanka which is shown separately below.
In addition to the fee shown below, following would also apply
i) Every applicant not resident in South Africa will be charged reference fee of R 120/
ii) Every US national will be charged additional visa fee of R 240/- .
All fee indicated are in Rands.

Note:

In case the application is submitted through mail/courier, fee can also be paid by attaching the Bank Draft of appropriate visa fee payable to `Consulate General of India, Johannesburg or Durban, depending where the application is filed or through bank transfer if the application is filed at Johannesburg. Cash should never be sent through mail/courier
