Passport Services
Indian nationals residing within the jurisdiction of CGI, Durban and those visiting South Africa can apply for the following consular services at the Consulate:-

Passport Service: -

Where the validity of the existing passport is going to expire soon, fresh passport will be issued to the applicant for a period of ten years and for five years for children below 18 years. Where the passports have been issued at a place other than CGI, Durban the applicants need to wait for the necessary reference work to be completed. Additional booklets/pages are no longer issued, if required a fresh passport is issued. For a new born baby within the consular jurisdiction of CGI, Durban, birth registration is required to be done before applying for a new passport.

Requirements: -

a. Application form duly filled in.
b. A copy of the Passport including portion of valid visa/Work permit/TRP/PR.
c. Three passport size colored photos
d. Sworn in affidavit- giving present residential address and declaration that one is an Indian citizen and has not applied for citizenship of any other country.
e. Fee:- R480/-(For adult),
R300(children below 18 years),
R600(Jumbo passport),
R1500(Lost/damaged Passport case)
f. For lost/damaged passport case – Police report about loss/damage of Passport necessary.

It include
Registration of Birth/Death (Fee-R240),
Certificate for Driving License (Fee-R240),
Power of Attorney (Fee-R240),
Birth Certificate (FeeR240),
Police Clearance Certificate (FeeR240),
Attestation of documents (R120/page) Endorsement (Fee-R120),
ECNR Fee-R120),
Emergency Certificate to facilitate one way travel to India (Fee-R60).
