The 42nd edition of International Film Festival (IFFI-2011) is scheduled to be held in Goa from 23rd November to 03rd December, 2011. The festival is accredited with the International Federation of Film Producers Association (FIAPF) and participation from film producers from South Africa & Lesotho are invited for sending feature films; including highly acclaimed/award winning films in this festival. One of the main features of this festival is the ‘Competition Section’ for feature films by directors from all over the world. The total prize money is USD200,000 (approx) which is comparable to any well-known festivals globally. Other sections include ‘Cinema of the World’, Foreign Retrospectives, Tributes and Focus-Period/personality based foreign films besides sections on Indian cinema. Only those films which have not been presented or screened in India before, will be eligible.
